Mu bushakashatsi bwakozwe n’Ishami ry’Umuryango w’Abibumbye
ryita ku Buzima (WHO) bugaragaza ko 71% ry’abapfa buri mwaka ahanini baba
bishwe nizi ndwara zitandura.Ni ukuvuga ko abantu bangana na Miliyoni 41 bapfa
buri mwaka bishwe n'iz’indwara ziri karande (chronic) zitanduzwa.
Ni mu gihe abagera kuri Miliyoni 15 bahitanwa n’izi ndwara
bari hagati y’imyaka 30-69. Ku kigero kingana na 85% cy’abapfa bose baturuka mu
bihugu bikennye ndetse n’ibihugu biri mu nzira y’amajyambere.
Abarenga Miliyoni 17.9 bicwa n’indwara zifata imijyana
n’imigarura y’amaraso (cardiovascular disease), mu gihe abagera kuri Miliyoni 9
bicwa na Kanseri naho abagera kuri Miliyoni 3.9 bicwa n’indwara zifata imyanya
y’ubuhumekero naho abagera kuri Miliyoni 1.6 bicwa na Diyabete. Ni mu gihe mu
