On June 17, 2024, during a live interview with President Kagame broadcasted on various national and private media channels, Abera Martina made a notable impression. She was the English-speaking moderator, focusing on topics frequently covered in this language.
Few Rwandan journalists have had the chance to interview President Kagame. Notable names include Eugene Kenneth Anangwe, Barore Cleophas, Robert Cyubahiro McKenna of RBA, Oswald Mutuyeyezu "Oswakim" of Radio&Tv10, and Aissa Cyiza of Royal FM.
During the interview, Abera asked President Kagame several questions about the nation's broader issues and the role of the youth. President Kagame acknowledged the significant contributions of the youth, from liberating the country to ending the Genocide against the Tutsi.
