Zeo Trap Eyes MTN Iwacu Muzika Festival Slot - VIDEO

Rwandan rapper Zeo Trap, one of the fast-rising names in the country’s Hip Hop scene, has expressed strong interest in performing at the MTN Iwacu Muzika Festival 2026, emphasizing that he is always ready to embrace any opportunity that can elevate his music career.

This comes after East African Party (EAP), the longtime organizer of the festival in partnership with MTN Rwanda, officially announced that the seventh edition of the festival will run from June 20 to August 1, 2026, touring several districts across Rwanda.

Festival to Tour Seven Districts

This year’s MTN Iwacu Muzika Festival will visit seven key districts: Huye, Ngoma, Nyagatare, Karongi, Muhanga, Musanze, and Rubavu.

The initiative aims to bring live music entertainment closer to Rwandans in different parts of the country, rather than concentrating major concerts primarily in Kigali. Over the years, the festival has become a powerful platform that unites different generations — youth, adults, and children — through the celebration of Rwandan music.

Zeo Trap: “I’m Fully Ready”

In an interview with InyaRwanda, Zeo Trap said he would be honored to see his name on the lineup of artists selected to headline the 2026 tour. For him, every opportunity must be taken seriously and approached with preparation.

“I’m always ready to seize every opportunity. We do this as a career. Even when there’s no immediate work, we have to keep working hard so that when the opportunity comes, it finds you prepared and active.”

The rapper added that he sees no reason why he shouldn’t perform on the MTN Iwacu Muzika Festival stage, citing his growing experience and the energy he consistently delivers during live performances.

“Other concerts have gone very well. What’s needed is trust between artists and organizers so things can happen. I believe there’s no place in Rwanda where we haven’t performed. The energy is always there on stage, and we’re among the new artists showing great promise. I believe it would go very well. All I can say is that I’m fully ready.”

Zeo Trap’s remarks reflect the ambitions of many emerging artists who hope to secure spots on major stages like MTN Iwacu Muzika Festival — a platform that offers nationwide exposure and direct interaction with fans across various provinces.

While the festival has traditionally featured some of Rwanda’s biggest music stars, it has also played a significant role in elevating rising talents by giving them visibility and access to wider audiences.

For Zeo Trap, opportunities like this should not be waited for passively. Instead, he believes artists must consistently work hard and stay prepared so that when the right moment arrives, they are ready to deliver top-level performances.
