Yvan Muziki to Host an Annual Valentine’s Day Concert

As he prepares to launch his debut album alongside a special Valentine’s Day celebration concert, Rwandan traditional artist Yvan Muziki has announced that he will be making the Valentine’s event an annual tradition.

This Thursday, a press conference was held at Kigali Universe to provide updates on preparations for the upcoming album launch concert titled “Inganzo Ntahangarwa.” The event has been uniquely combined with a Valentine’s Day celebration and is organized by Yvan Muziki in collaboration with Gakondo Avec la Classe.

The concert will feature a lineup of renowned artists including Kidumu Kibido from Burundi, Massamba Intore, Jules Sentore, Marina, Inyamibwa Troupe, and Yvan Muziki himself, who will officially launch his first-ever album since beginning his music career.

Speaking about the milestone, Yvan Muziki described the album launch as a deeply personal moment in his journey.

“Releasing my first album is like giving birth to my first child in this music career. I trust that you will continue to help me raise it — and its younger siblings — with the same love and support.”

For the album launch, Yvan revealed that he intentionally selected prominent artists closely connected to Rwanda’s traditional music heritage. He specifically mentioned Massamba Intore and Jules Sentore, noting that they have supported him from the very first day he entered the music industry.

He also invited Kidumu Kibido, with whom he shares a long-standing friendship. According to Yvan, Kidumu recognized and appreciated his talent from the very first time he saw him perform.

Beyond this year’s event, Yvan Muziki announced that the Valentine’s concert will not be a one-time celebration. Going forward, he plans to host a Valentine’s show every year on February 13, creating a platform for couples to celebrate love through music and culture.

In addition, the artist revealed plans to take his album beyond Rwanda. He is preparing for performances in Belgium to further promote “Inganzo Ntahangarwa,” accompanied by some of the artists supporting him at the Kigali Universe concert.

Tickets for Yvan Muziki’s concert are currently available via sinc.event or by dialing 662700*453#.
