Yanga SC Eyes Rwandan Goalkeeper Ntwari Fiacre After Kaizer Chiefs Exit

After losing his spot at Kaizer Chiefs, Ntwari Fiacre is exploring transfers. Tanzania's Yanga SC shows interest in the Rwandan star goalie.

When Rwandan goalkeeper Ntwari Fiacre joined Kaizer Chiefs last season, he initially secured a place in the starting lineup. However, his tenure took a downturn after being accused of contributing to the team's conceded goals. This saw him excluded from matchday squads, marking a challenging chapter in his football career.

Discussions between Fiacre and Kaizer Chiefs have since centered on a potential departure, with recent signs indicating he has already parted ways with the South African club.

Reports now suggest that Yanga SC, a leading Tanzanian football club, has shown interest by contacting Kaizer Chiefs about Fiacre’s availability. Yanga SC is reportedly considering signing him permanently or taking him on loan.

Fiacre joined Kaizer Chiefs during the summer transfer window last year, arriving from TS Galaxy for an impressive transfer fee of over 400 million Rwandan Francs. Kaizer Chiefs’ passionate fanbase had high hopes for the Rwandan talent, but his stint didn’t unfold as expected.

In addition to Yanga SC, Fiacre has also been rumored to attract the interest of teams in France’s Ligue 2. His football journey began with APR FC in Rwanda, followed by a move to Marine FC. He then transitioned to AS Kigali before joining TS Galaxy in 2023, a stepping stone before his time at Kaizer Chiefs.
