Yampano, the celebrated Rwandan artist renowned for his high-energy songs and deep emotional messages, has taken legal steps after his private videos were unlawfully leaked on social media. The musician has lodged a formal complaint with the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB), demanding justice and accountability against the individual responsible.
The artist, whose birth name is Florien Uworizagwira, disclosed that on November 9, 2025, he filed his complaint with RIB, implicating Ishimwe Patrick, known by the stage name Pazzo, in spreading the sensitive videos.
Yampano confirmed, "I filed my complaint on November 9, 2025, and Pazzo was subsequently arrested on November 11, 2025."
Revisiting their history, Yampano explained that he and Pazzo had shared a home in the Busanza Cell, Kanombe sector, where they lived and worked together on music projects. Pazzo played a pivotal role in Yampano’s career, managing his social media accounts and promoting his new releases, earning deep trust.
However, trust turned into betrayal when footage, recorded in May 2025 as a private moment between Yampano and his partner, was leaked. The recording, intended solely as a personal keepsake, was stored securely on Yampano's private account, which Pazzo had access to through his role in managing Yampano’s platforms.
Their professional relationship deteriorated after Yampano requested Pazzo to vacate their shared house to accommodate his private life with his partner. Instead of obliging, Pazzo demanded 500,000 Rwandan Francs (about $420) for starting afresh. After receiving the full amount, he still resisted leaving.
The tension culminated in rumors that Pazzo possessed scandalous footage of Yampano. Matters escalated dramatically when the videos surfaced online between November 9 and 10, 2025, creating a shocking uproar.
Despite his emotional distress, Yampano remains unwavering in his dedication to music. He has announced the release of his debut Extended Play (EP) on November 13, 2025, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Reflecting on the experience, Yampano described it as a tough but essential lesson in choosing trustworthy collaborators. He urged fellow musicians to safeguard their private matters vigilantly to avoid similar pitfalls.
In his pursuit of justice, Yampano expressed confidence in the legal system while staying focused on his art. He is gearing up for a special concert in Paris, France, scheduled for November 17, 2025, proudly showcasing his resilience and talent.
The artist condemned the incident as a deliberate smear campaign aimed at tarnishing his reputation before his international debut. Yampano firmly stated that acts of leaking private material should never be normalized within the creative industry.

Yampano reiterated his appeal to RIB, requesting firm action against Pazzo over the leaked videos. He continues to use his ordeal as motivation to inspire resilience and caution among other artists.
