Top football talents, including Biramahire Abeddy, shine at Esperance Football Tournament. Stella FC dominates Buja City 5-2 as transfer rumors swirl.

With the league and other competitions now behind us, the Esperance Football Tournament is taking center stage at Nyamirambo’s famous Tapis Rouge venue. This tournament boasts participation from various players, including seasoned athletes from major league teams.

Stella FC made waves yesterday by triumphing over Burundi's Buja City in a thrilling 5-2 victory. Biramahire Abeddy was among the key players delivering standout performances. During a post-match interview with InyaRwanda, Abeddy—a player who has just concluded his contract with Rayon Sports—revealed that he is engaged in discussions about his next career move but has not yet made a definitive decision.

He shared confidently, "The contract has ended, but I’m still in talks with those assisting in finding teams for me." When asked about continuing his football journey locally or abroad, Abeddy emphasized that his decision would hinge on financial offers and incentives provided by the interested teams.

Looking back on last season, Abeddy expressed his dissatisfaction with the outcome, highlighting the lack of trophies secured by Rayon Sports. This, he admits, left him wanting more from his performance and the team's achievements.

Meanwhile, Rutsiro FC's striker—who featured alongside Abeddy in Stella FC and showcased his prowess with a stunning hat-trick—dismissed circulating rumors suggesting he is in talks with Rayon Sports or Police FC for a potential move. He clarified, "I don’t know where they got that information, but honestly, I haven’t spoken to anyone."

Despite the speculation, he had nothing but praise for both clubs. "Rayon Sports and Police FC are excellent teams," he remarked, adding that he views them equally and would approach offers from either with the same professional mindset.

He concluded optimistically, "Both are excellent teams; regardless of which one approaches me, it's a job, and I have no problem playing for any of them. It's not something I'm actively seeking—it’s just work. My approach is simple: whoever contacts me, I’m ready to work, whether it's Rutsiro, Rayon Sports, or elsewhere."

The Esperance Football Tournament also shines a spotlight on other standout players like Habimana Yves. A key performer last season, Yves achieved an impressive record with 8 league goals and 6 assists during the championship. Moreover, he added 3 goals in the Peace Cup tournament, solidifying his reputation as one of the top talents in Rwandan football.
