Although this is the first song Gasana has officially launched, he views it as both his debut and farewell to music collaboration projects. He stated that he has no plans to continue bringing artists together for future songs.
The song "Natinatina" was released on Thursday, July 10, 2025, signifying a major shift for Gasana, who was previously known for his active presence on social media without any direct involvement in the music industry.
In an exclusive interview with InyaRwanda, The Real Gasana shared the challenges of creating such projects. He explained that producing a song of this nature demands considerable time and resources, which poses difficulties for anyone without a dedicated music career.
Gasana expressed: “I don’t know if I’ll bring artists together for another song. It’s not because I lack funds, but I’m not sure if I’ll create another song. However, as someone active on social media, I wanted to innovate and showcase fresh ideas.”
He emphasized that "Natinatina" stands out as a unique and unrepeatable project for him, despite others having plans for similar collaborations.
He remarked: “I don’t think I’ll keep doing this. If an opportunity comes or if God wills it, we might do it again. But for me, I see this song as both my first and last.”
Gasana revealed that he specifically selected emerging artists eager to display their talent, apart from Afrique, a seasoned musician.
Gasana noted: “The reason I chose these artists is because each of them has goals they aim to achieve. I brought them together to create something meaningful—something they could each consider a highlight in their careers. Their motivation made the process much smoother.”
He also credited contributors like Diez Dolla, Pamaa, and Li John for their involvement in fine-tuning the song during its composition phase.
Gasana clarified that he did not perform in the song and asserted that he doesn’t identify as a musical artist. Instead, his role in the project stemmed from his desire to spotlight new talent and introduce fresh perspectives through his social media platforms.
He explained: “This was all part of the plan. I wanted to create a song, promote it as much as I could, and observe people’s reactions. However, I never intended to pursue music further unless it’s driven by public demand.”
Apart from this project, Gasana has a specialized background, having completed university studies in Engineering before channeling his creative energy into social media initiatives and unique ventures.
The production of "Natinatina" was led by Booster and fine-tuned by sound engineer Bob Pro. Gasana described the project as a heartfelt effort but made it clear that this doesn’t signify his entrance into the music industry as an artist.
He concluded the interview by encouraging talented individuals to continue pursuing excellence while also urging social media creators to focus on projects with strong benefits and significant impact.
