On June 15, 2025, in the glamorous city of Dubai, Tessy joyfully accepted a proposal from her soulmate, rapper Shizzo Afro Papi. The intimate ceremony was a magical celebration of love.

Speaking exclusively to InyaRwanda, Tessy detailed her year-long relationship with Shizzo, built on unwavering trust, authenticity, and a unified vision of the future. She expressed: “The first thing is that he loves me. Secondly, we share the same direction and goals. He’s loving, hardworking, and for those who don’t know, Shizzo prays and loves God. People may not know it, but his inner self is different from what they see externally.”
Tessy shared her belief that their love is divinely guided, citing Shizzo’s collaboration with Ariel Wayz on a song featuring her name as an affirmation of their destined union. She beautifully said: “Of all the men, I chose him because he loves me, and I love him. Also, I believe God brought us together.”
While Tessy knew a proposal was coming, the way it happened overwhelmed her. She had prepared to wear a red dress but was astonished by the profound thoughtfulness Shizzo poured into his plans, creating an unforgettable moment.
She recalled: “I did know he would propose, and I even knew the outfit I was supposed to wear. But I didn’t know when it would happen. I thought it would be when I wore the red dress, but things unfolded differently.”
To Tessy, the engagement ring is more than a token—it symbolizes a love built on meaningful foundations. Tessy thanked everyone who joined her in Dubai and highlighted the act of covering travel expenses for the attendees, describing it as the ultimate expression of familial love.
Confirming that their wedding is near, Tessy emphasized that every step of the journey is guided by prayer and faith. She confidently declared: “The best is ahead. The wedding is soon, because of God. The timing depends on Him.”
