Teacher Mpamire, Uganda’s iconic comedian, headlines Kigali's Gen-Z Comedy Show on July 10, 2025. Fans eagerly await his humorous impersonations and impactful comedy.

The eagerly awaited Gen-Z Comedy Show 2025 is scheduled at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village, widely known as Camp Kigali (KCEV). Starting at 6 PM, this highly anticipated event is the ultimate destination for modern youth entertainment. The show will be hosted by celebrated comedian Ndaruhutse Merci, popularly recognized as Fally Merci across social media platforms.

The event promises laughter, joy, and connection as it showcases both famous comedians and emerging talent. Its primary goal is to offer young people an opportunity to laugh, unwind, and support their mental well-being through the art of comedy.

After more than a year away from Rwanda, the renowned Ugandan comedian Teacher Mpamire returns to Kigali to rekindle his fans’ excitement. Mpamire’s previous performance at the Gen-Z Comedy Show in July 2024 earned him widespread acclaim for his exceptional humor style, particularly his hilarious impersonations of teachers and school administrators that blend knowledge with entertainment.

Mpamire remains a favorite among the youth for his relatable and impactful comedy. He masterfully combines teaching moments, entertaining antics, and witty humor to create engaging experiences that help audiences reflect and relax.

Herbert Mendo Ssegujja, known globally as Teacher Mpamire, is Uganda’s comedy sensation. Rising to fame in the 2010s, he gained prominence for his brilliant impersonations of Uganda’s stern teachers, a craft that resonated deeply with audiences.

His iconic persona as “Teacher Mpamire” stems from his portrayal of authoritarian educators, famously wearing a blazer, carrying books, and delivering jokes in humorous modulated English tones.

Mpamire pursued his studies at Makerere University, focusing on journalism and education, before advancing his comedy expertise at École Nationale de Théâtre in Paris, France.

Today, Teacher Mpamire shines not only in Uganda and East Africa but also on international stages spanning Europe and America.

His name further surged in popularity as the "Museveni comedian," famed for his humorous impersonations of Ugandan President Museveni, which captured significant media attention across Africa.

The Gen-Z Comedy Show has become a transformative platform where young audiences and comedy enthusiasts connect with renowned comedians. The show merges laughter with learning through a vibrant mix of artistic creativity and entertainment.
