The inaugural edition will take place on Saturday, 2nd May 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ora Center (Former Prayer House - Kicukiro) and is expected to bring together young people from different churches, ministries, and creative spaces across the city.
Salt & Light Night is designed as an open platform where youth can connect, share, and express their talents in a vibrant and welcoming environment.
The event will feature a variety of live performances including poetry, spoken word, music, dance, and comedy, offering a stage for authentic and faith-inspired expression.
Organizers say the initiative responds to a growing need for safe, inclusive spaces where creativity and Christian values can coexist and thrive. The goal is to encourage young creatives to use their gifts to spread messages of hope, love, and positive transformation within their communities.
The event is being organized by the 4 Jesus Initiative, which envisions expanding similar faith-based creative platforms across Kigali and beyond.
According to the organizers, Salt & Light Night is not just a one-time gathering but the beginning of a broader movement aimed at empowering young people to “shine their light” in today’s world.
Churches, media houses, partners, and the general public are invited to attend and support this initiative.
