Nzaramba clinched a prestigious gold medal in the under 68kg category at the Muju Taekwondo Expo and followed it up with a bronze medal in the under 58kg category at the highly competitive G1 Universiade tournament.
This remarkable athlete is one of two Rwandan representatives who showcased exceptional talent in these global events. Yvan Mucyo Iradukunda, Nzaramba's teammate, equally stood out, bringing home not one but two bronze medals: one in the -54kg category at the G1 Universiade and another in the -58kg category at the Muju Taekwondo Expo.
Under the expert guidance of coach Jeong Ji-Man, both athletes displayed top-tier performance on the international stage. Their achievements propelled Rwanda to an impressive second-place finish in the overall rankings, narrowly trailing behind France. Meanwhile, Singapore and Indonesia shared the third spot on the leaderboard.
Furthermore, Rwanda etched its name in the history books during the G4 Octagon Diamond Games, as the nation proudly secured second place in the men's -130kg category. This pivotal achievement marks Rwanda’s first-ever ascent to such a distinguished level in this category on the international circuit.
