Rwandan football sensation Biramahire Abeddy, who had recently renewed his contract with Rayon Sports for two years, has finalized a two-year transfer deal with Algeria's renowned ES Setif.
This transfer sees Biramahire receiving $50,000, while Rayon Sports cashes in RWF 20 million—a significant gain for the Rwandan club.
Biramahire will join Entente Sportive Setifienne, a club that ranked sixth in the Algerian league last season with 41 points. ES Setif is under the guidance of Antoine Hey, a familiar name in Rwanda who previously managed the national team, Amavubi.
The talented striker made his mark at Rayon Sports in January this year, playing a key role in the latter part of the season. He scored five goals in league matches and added another impressive four goals during the Peace Cup competition.
In response to Biramahire's departure, Rayon Sports swiftly moved to secure his replacement. The club has reached an agreement with Rutsiro FC to sign their top striker, Habimana Yves.
Despite having one year remaining on his contract with Rutsiro, Habimana Yves will be joining Rayon Sports after the club agreed to pay RWF 10 million to complete the transfer.
Habimana Yves showcased a phenomenal season with eight goals and six assists in the league, alongside three decisive goals during the Peace Cup tournament. His performance has established him as one of the top forwards in Rwandan football.
