The highly-anticipated CHAN 2024 football tournament is planned to take place from August 2 to August 30, 2025, across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
One of the esteemed referees selected for this competition is Mutuyimana Dieudonné, a Rwandan assistant referee popularly known as Dodos. Among the 26 line officials chosen for the event, he proudly represents Rwanda as the sole referee from the nation.
With international experience dating back to 2018, Mutuyimana has earned a reputation for consistently officiating prestigious tournaments on global stages, showcasing his exceptional skills as a referee.
Referee assignments for CHAN 2024 were first announced earlier this year in January. Notably, Salima Mukansanga, another prominent referee from Rwanda, was initially listed for VAR duties. However, she will not be part of the refereeing team for this rescheduled tournament.
Currently, Mutuyimana is actively engaged in officiating matches for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations, which is being held in Morocco, further demonstrating his commitment to excellence in refereeing.
Mutuyimana Dieudonné's inclusion in CHAN 2024 marks a significant milestone, spotlighting Rwanda's representation in the world of football refereeing.
