The joyous wedding ceremony took place on Sunday, October 5, 2025, where Rwandan football star Mugisha Gilbert officially married and paid dowry for Mpinganzima Josephine, who resides in Canada.
The dowry ceremony, traditional wedding, and reception were held at the stunning Romantic Garden in Kigali. The couple exchanged vows in a heartfelt religious ceremony at Romantic Church.
The couple's journey to marriage began in September 2024, when Mugisha Gilbert proposed to Mpinganzima Josephine. Shortly after, in October 2024, they completed their legal marriage formalities, paving the way for their wedding celebrations a year later.
Due to the wedding, Mugisha Gilbert, a star winger for APR FC, missed playing in a crucial CAF Champions League qualification match against Pyramids FC. However, his wedding remains a milestone moment in his personal life.
Despite the celebrations, Mugisha Gilbert will not have time to relax on a honeymoon. He is set to join the Rwandan national team, Amavubi, for a training camp ahead of their important FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying matches against Benin and South Africa.
