Rwandan Cyclists Shine in International Road Races Across Kigali

Discover the remarkable journey of Rwandan cyclists racing in junior and under-23 categories on Kigali’s scenic roads this Friday.

This Friday, September 26, 2020, from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, young men under 19 years old (Men Junior) will take to the road to compete in a thrilling race spanning 119.3 kilometers. Two talented cyclists, Ntirenganya Moise and Nkurikiyinka Jackson, are representing Rwanda in this category. Later, from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM, the under-23 men’s category will compete in a challenging road race covering a distance of 164.6 kilometers.

Rwanda has further shining stars in this category: Niyonkuru Samuel, Ruhumuriza Aime, Tuyizere Etienne, and Ufitimana Shadrack. The scenic and demanding road course takes riders through significant Kigali landmarks, including KCC (Kigali Convention Center), RDB (Rwanda Development Board) in Gishushu, MTN Nyarutarama, the Nyarutarama roundabout near Golf Club, SOS, MINAGRI, KABC, RIB Kimihurura, Mediheal, Kabindi, and a loop back to KCC.
