The much-anticipated Rwanda Convention is scheduled to take place in Dallas, Texas, from July 4 to July 6, 2025, reuniting Rwandans from across America and other corners of the globe.
After a five-year hiatus—the last event being in 2019—this year’s convention promises a grand comeback packed with exciting celebrations. Attendees will enjoy sensational performances by globally acclaimed artists such as The Ben, Meddy, and Massamba Intore.
On June 11, 2025, Ally Soudy was officially announced as the host of this milestone event. In an exclusive interview with InyaRwanda, Ally expressed heartfelt appreciation for this honor, describing it as a dream come true in his career and a significant achievement.
“The Rwanda Convention is one of the largest events, both nationally and internationally. It unites Rwandans and Rwanda’s friends, and hosting such an event is a goal for anyone in the entertainment industry,” Ally remarked.
Previously, Ally hosted the youth segment of Rwanda Convention (Rwanda Convention Youth) in North America. Being entrusted with the main event now represents an extraordinary level of trust and achievement for the seasoned host.
“To be selected for this responsibility in America once again is highly rewarding for my career and strengthens youth empowerment initiatives,” Ally added.
With an impressive 18-year career in hosting large-scale events, Ally assured that Rwanda Convention 2025 will stand out for its unique lineup of entertainment spanning from Friday to Sunday.
“The event has diverse concerts, including a tribute to Liberation Day. On Sunday, there will be a special worship session featuring gospel music, with Meddy showcasing his talent,” Ally explained.
More than just an entertainment extravaganza, Ally emphasized that Rwanda Convention provides a vital platform to discuss Rwanda's development and connect Rwandans with their friends across the globe. He highlighted that it's a golden opportunity for artists seeking international recognition.
