Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Murangira Launches a Book on How God Views Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Murangira officially launched his new book titled "Economics at the Cross: Divine Economics of Small Things", on how God views wealth, entrepreneurship, and innovation, in a ceremony held in the city of Kigali.

Vital Readings Publishers is delighted to announce the successful launch of Economics at the Cross: Divine Economics of Small Things, authored by Emmanuel Murangira. The book was officially launched on 21 February 2026 at Park Inn by Radisson Kigali in an event attended by church leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and scholars.

In this book, "Economics at the Cross: Divine Economics of Small Things", Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Murangira presents a compelling contrast between the Economy of the World and the Economy of the Kingdom.

Through powerful storytelling and careful biblical reflection, he challenges readers to reconsider how faith shapes everyday economic life. The book explores themes of stewardship, sabbath rest, covenant relationships, and the eternal significance of small acts done in obedience and trust.

Rev. Dr. Murangira boldly challenges contemporary assumptions in both economics and theology. He critiques an economic system built on a scarcity mindset that breeds anxiety, competition, and fear.

At the same time, he confronts a theological framework that separates work from worship, treating labor as secular and reserving sanctity only for church activities. In response, he offers a renewed vision rooted in Scripture: God owns the whole earth and has provided enough, and human work is not outside divine purpose but an expression of worship and service.

Through thoughtful exegesis, he reclaims work as sacred participation in God’s ongoing creation. Entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity are presented not merely as economic activities, but as reflections of the image of God in humanity.

In this vision, business becomes stewardship, productivity becomes service, and success is measured by eternal impact. Ultimately, Economics at the Cross calls readers to invest not only in markets, but in eternity.

Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Murangira holds a PhD in Behavioral Economics and a DPhil in Transformational Theology. With his unique background in economics and theology, he brings both academic depth and pastoral wisdom to this timely work, offering a fresh vision for professionals, entrepreneurs, church leaders, and anyone seeking to align their work and finances with Kingdom values.

Economics at the Cross is now available in major bookshops across Kigali, on the Vital Readings website at www.vitalreadings.com and on Amazon for international readers. For media inquiries, interviews, or bulk orders, please contact Vital Readings Publishers at info@vitalreadings.com
