Rehoboth Choir, Known for Its Hit Song “Camera,” Announces Major Concert

Chorale Rehoboth has announced plans for 2026 to organize a large-scale concert combined with charitable activities to help the needy, alongside a series of urban and rural evangelistic tours aimed at spreading the gospel and supporting many in their journey of salvation.

Rehoboth Choir is a gospel music choir based at ADEPR/Nyakabanda Church, Nyarugenge Parish, known for its hit song “Camera”. Since its founding in 1995 with just 35 members, the choir has used music to glorify God, starting with limited resources—no instruments and no uniforms, as most members were students or unemployed.

Despite these early challenges, the ministry gradually grew. In 2002, a benefactor supported them to record their first album, Camera Volume I, which included the popular title track “Camera”, earning the choir national recognition and acclaim beyond Rwanda’s borders.

As their ministry expanded, so did their capabilities. In 2015, they released Camera Volume II in both audio and video formats. The choir continued to grow, building youth participation, securing funding, and forming partnerships.

In August 2025, they recorded Volume III live in a major concert in collaboration with Agape Choir from Nyarugenge Church, marking their 30th anniversary. During this celebration, they supported the community by providing meals to the needy and covering health insurance for over 100 people.

All of these efforts were done in gratitude to God for His remarkable works. At the end of December 2025, Rehoboth released the worship song “Turashima Umusaraba”, which received widespread acclaim.

In February 2026, they released another new song, “Imbaraga z’Imana”, encouraging people to enter the “upper room” in prayer, trusting in God’s life-giving power. Both songs are available on Rehoboth Choir’s YouTube channel and social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

For 2026, Rehoboth Choir has shared with inyaRwanda that they plan to continue producing music that inspires and guides people in their spiritual journey. They also intend to conduct several urban and rural evangelistic tours, culminating in a large-scale concert in August 2026 that will include charitable outreach to the underprivileged.

Justin Munyaneza, President of Rehoboth Choir, told inyaRwanda: “We plan to carry out several evangelistic tours in the city and rural areas; in August 2026, we will host a major concert combined with activities to help the needy.”

Chorale Rehoboth emphasizes its commitment to gospel ministry and acts of love, continually giving thanks to God for the incredible works He has performed through them over the past 30 years.
