In March this year, Twagirayezu Thaddée, President of Rayon Sports, unveiled a profit-generating project inspired by Tanzania’s Yanga SC success story. The collaboration aims to integrate Yanga’s proven model into Rayon Sports' development strategy. Discussions with the President of Yanga SC provided strategic insights for this initiative.
Twagirayezu elaborated, "Yanga SC’s President and I sat and analyzed their entire strategy during his visit here. He shared detailed insights into how the model was developed. Our plan is to adopt and customize it, respecting our cultural values. Their efforts over the last five years have brought remarkable success."
He also shared Yanga SC President Hersi Said’s admiration for Rayon Sports, announcing intentions for a friendly match. Twagirayezu stated, "Yanga SC’s President is a great supporter of Rayon Sports. As we prepare for the next season’s competitions, we’ve agreed on organizing friendly matchups. Yanga SC will travel to Rwanda, and the game will be played at Amahoro Stadium—our chosen venue."
Currently, it has been confirmed by InyaRwanda that the friendly match is happening on June 15 at Amahoro Stadium. This fixture serves as a valuable tune-up opportunity for Rayon Sports as they gear up for the CAF Confederation Cup following a season without trophies.
Yanga SC remains dominant in the Tanzanian league standings, leading Simba SC by a 4-point margin.
Rayon Sports’ encounter with Yanga SC comes after a previous friendly against Tanzania’s Azam FC during the 'Rayon Day' celebrations.

The highly anticipated match between Rayon Sports and Yanga SC will take place on June 15 at the iconic Amahoro Stadium.

Rayon Sports is leveraging the friendly match against Yanga SC as a critical step in its preparation for the CAF Confederation Cup fixtures.
