On Saturday at 6 PM, Singida Black Stars FC will host Rayon Sports in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup 2025 preliminary round at the Azam Complex Stadium in Tanzania.
This highly anticipated match follows the first leg held at Kigali Pele Stadium, where Singida Black Stars clinched a narrow 1-0 victory. Rayon Sports, affectionately nicknamed "Murera" by fans, traveled to Tanzania on Wednesday, determined to overturn the result and advance in the competition.
Olivier Niyonzima Sefu, one of Rayon Sports' key players, shared his confidence ahead of the match, emphasizing that they are ready for a strong performance away from home. He remarked:
"We are in good shape and grateful to God. We are prepared to compete and see if we can secure the ticket. The first leg didn’t go well because we didn’t get the result we expected at home, but it’s still possible to win away since they beat us in Rwanda."
Niyonzima further highlighted that their primary focus remains victory and progression to the next round, expressing faith that success is possible with divine support.
Striker Habimana Yves echoed Niyonzima’s sentiments, reiterating the team's commitment to achieving a positive outcome. Habimana assured fans:
"What I can tell you is that we are going to put our hearts into this game. I’m confident everything will work out well, and we promise Rayon Sports supporters that we will do everything possible to qualify."
