Rayon Sports President Urges Fans to Unite for 2025/26 Championship Victory

Rayon Sports President calls supporters to unite with the team, starting with their Kiyovu Sports rivalry, aiming for the 2025/26 league championship.

These were some of the key points raised by the President of Rayon Sports during an exclusive interview with Rayon TV on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. He passionately urged Rayon supporters to join forces with the team’s leadership as the new football season gets underway.

He said: “I strongly call upon Rayon Sports fans, supporters, and leadership to come together and work as one. The management is doing its part, and everything else is in place, but as I’ve said before, everything begins on the pitch. That’s where Rayon Sports’ joy is rooted. Even if today we had a billion on our accounts, that wouldn’t bring as much happiness as winning the 2025/2026 championship. Winning the league surpasses everything."

“Let’s make it happen, let’s bring the championship home, and the funds will follow. Let’s be thirsty for the league title. As the President, I will do my part, but I can’t win it alone. It takes the combined efforts of fans, supporters, and the leadership.”

The Rayon Sports President emphasized the importance of fan involvement, particularly as they kick off the league against Kiyovu Sports. He said: “We are going to start with Kiyovu Sports, our long-standing rivals, who I’ve noticed have increased ticket prices. To all Rayon fans, come out in numbers; we need your support to score goals. They often say Rayon Sports is relentless; every opponent treats a match against us like preparing for a wedding."

“We have a strong team, but beyond being strong, it needs support, incentives, accommodation, and everything else to succeed.”

Twagirayezu Thaddée, meanwhile, criticized certain Rayon Sports officials for neglecting training sessions, prioritizing other distractions over the team’s performance on the pitch.

He revealed updates on the squad, stating they have 27 players ready for the season, including 11 new signings and three players from their youth academy. Concerning Chadrack Bing Bello, the President explained that they parted ways due to unresolved issues with his team, DCM. He expressed his disappointment over the matter, saying the player also felt the impact of this setback. However, he assured supporters that the situation could be resolved soon and promised Bing Bello would likely return in January.

Additionally, the President shared his positive collaboration with the coach on tactics and strategies, which had immediate benefits. He said: “I spoke with the coach, and we agreed on various aspects that have yielded good results.

I believe all of you, as football enthusiasts, saw the transformation in our game against Vipers. Our coach is doing well, and everything is in good shape. I’ve worked with him for a long time, and I can confirm that he is hardworking. He's an excellent coach, and one thing I admire is that he instills discipline in his players.”

He disclosed plans to hire a fitness coach to further strengthen the players, noting that the appointment could be finalized by the time they play against Kiyovu Sports. Regarding the CAF Confederation Cup, he expressed confidence in the team’s preparation while emphasizing the critical need for fan support in Tanzania to secure victory against Singida. He stated their ultimate ambition: reaching the group stage.
