Prophet Joshua pledged to donate 5 million Rwandan Francs during a concert on August 29, 2025, after purchasing an album by Nel Ngabo titled "Vibranium".
At the event, Prophet Joshua confidently stood before the audience, proclaiming, “Platini invited me, and I said I must be there. Because of that, I am pledging 5 million Rwandan Francs, and I will send the money tomorrow morning by 9 AM.” However, as of now, the pledge remains unmet.
Months after the event, Prophet Joshua revealed he would not fulfill his promise, giving a variety of reasons for his decision.
During an interview on 3DTV, Prophet Joshua explained that he felt unwelcome at the concert, as he was seated in an undesirable section. This perceived mistreatment led him to rethink and withdraw his financial commitment to Platini and Nel Ngabo.
Adding to his displeasure, he mentioned being approached by a drunken individual on the same night. Prophet Joshua also admitted that he had not willingly taken the stage but did so upon Platini’s persistent request. These factors contributed to his decision to withhold the pledged money.
When asked about the incident, Nel Ngabo addressed the situation during a press briefing after performing at the "Isango na Muzika" concerts in Huye.
Sharing his side, Nel Ngabo said, “I saw the video where he stated he would not give us the money. On the day of the album launch, I was solely focused on presenting the work we had tirelessly created in the studio. That’s my role as an artist—to entertain and create music.”
Nel Ngabo also made it clear that he had no further comments on the financial matter. However, he underscored his respect for Prophet Joshua, stating, “I respect him a lot.”
This response exemplifies a spirit of professionalism and reconciliation in the music industry. Nel Ngabo continues to place his devotion to art and his supporters above financial disputes or conflicts.

In public remarks, Nel Ngabo reiterated his respect for Prophet Joshua, despite the latter’s decision not to honor his 5 million Rwf pledge.

Nel Ngabo and Platini successfully celebrated the launch of their album "Vibranium" during an unforgettable concert at Zaria Court on August 29, 2025.
