He explained that envy can give rise to curses and harm hearts, urging Christians to act humbly, support one another, and serve God in love so that everyone can grow in a positive and wholesome way.
Prophet Nyirindekwe delivered this message on Sunday, February 22, 2026, during a gathering in Brussels, where he first expressed gratitude to participants of the “Meet and Greet” event held in the UK on February 14, 2026.
He commended the attendees for their excellent attire, noting that it delighted him, and thanked God that people had traveled from various countries and returned home safely.
At the start of his sermon, he stated, “The Service have begun, and the prophet has arrived.” His approach was spontaneous, as he had not announced his visit or message in advance. He explained that surprising people with the Word of God is beneficial, and he intends to continue teaching in this way.
His teaching focused on Joshua 14:5-15, illustrating how God had promised the Israelites the land and gave Caleb, son of Jephunneh, the hill of Hebron as a reward for his faith and steadfastness in God.
Caleb was honored for his trust in God, even when others were fearful. Prophet Nyirindekwe used Caleb as an example to show that courage and faithfulness to God lead to true success.
He reflected on human history, noting that since the creation of the world there have been two significant councils: the first, resulting in the creation of Adam, and the second, the redemption of humanity through Jesus Christ becoming human.
He cited the story of Abel, who was killed by Cain out of envy, to illustrate that when someone prospers, they should not be mistreated by those around them; instead, people should seek to understand how they succeeded in order to learn.
The Prophet criticized the belief held by some that a person who prospers must have taken wealth from others, highlighting that such assumptions are often baseless.
He explained that building a beautiful house or buying a car does not mean someone else provided it through wrongdoing—it is often envy speaking. He reminded believers that Abel was never accused falsely; instead, people asked him about his actions, showing the proper way to respond to others’ success.
He stressed that “A person who is upright and true will always be ahead; if you build principles to achieve progress where they have progressed, you will continue to surpass them.” Prophet Ernest emphasized that God does not intend for people to remain stagnant, and Christians should encourage and learn from each other rather than be consumed by envy.
He added, “When you pray for someone ahead of you so they advance quickly, it also accelerates your own progress. Today, tell Jesus to stop the spirit of envy.” He warned that envy, if unchecked, grows like a fire and can bring curses. “When someone envies you, remember to confront the spirit of envy and its curses through prayer.”
The Prophet also advised, “If you encounter someone who is envious, maintain distance, but pray for them without approaching too closely. Some demons are not cast out through prayer alone but by avoiding them.”
He referenced Noah’s Ark, noting that those inside were never deprived of food because provisions had been supplied for the entire duration. Similarly, in life, God prepares and guides people according to His plan.
Prophet Nyirindekwe urged believers to respect God during times of restoration, training themselves before receiving blessings so that God continues to have a place in their lives afterward.
He said that when witnessing someone being restored while remaining faithful to God, one should acknowledge their principles of success. “Build these principles in the wilderness; they are not completed when you arrive in Canaan. Train yourself now to succeed there,” he explained.
Born in Southern Province, Rwanda, Prophet Ernest began ministry in 2007 after receiving salvation and the gift of prophecy, which he says transformed the direction of his life. With 19 years of ministry experience, he founded Elayono Pentecostal Blessing Church, which has branches in countries including Canada, the UK, and Belgium.
Throughout his spiritual journey, he has learned from prominent spiritual leaders, including Apostle Dr. Paul Gitwaza, whom he regards as his spiritual parent. Prophet Ernest emphasizes that serving God with love and humility is the foundation of a holy ministry, and that the gospel should transform hearts, strengthening faith and improving daily life.
