President Kagame is currently in Algeria for a transformative working visit that began yesterday.
During this visit, Rwanda and Algeria entered into landmark agreements across several critical sectors, including air transport, visa removal, communication, law enforcement, pharmaceutical industries, higher education, justice, investment promotion, and entrepreneurship.
These bilateral agreements were formalized on Tuesday afternoon following strategic discussions between Rwanda’s President, Paul Kagame, and Algeria’s President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
In a joint press briefing with President Tebboune, President Kagame emphasized Rwanda’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Algeria. He announced that Rwanda will soon open a new Embassy in Algeria to further support and enhance diplomatic and economic cooperation.
Focus on Artificial Intelligence: Rwanda Students at ENSIA
On Wednesday morning, Village Urugwiro shared that President Kagame visited Algeria’s National School of Artificial Intelligence (ENSIA), a center of excellence in AI innovation and research.
During the visit, the President observed operations at the school, which specializes in education and research in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. ENSIA provides advanced programs, including master’s and PhD studies, empowering students with cutting-edge technological knowledge.
Highlighting Rwanda’s commitment to nurturing skills among youth, the Rwandan delegation revealed that ENSIA currently hosts five Rwandan students enrolled in its programs. This signifies the growing importance of educational exchanges in fostering innovation and collaboration between nations.
Strengthening Long-Term Collaboration
Previously, Presidents Kagame and Tebboune held discussions in Mauritania aimed at bolstering cooperation in vital areas such as education, defense, and diplomacy. They also explored new opportunities in agriculture and infrastructure development, further solidifying an ambitious and forward-looking bilateral relationship.
