On Thursday, June 26, 2025, InyaRwanda visited the Better Future Football Academy. This prestigious football academy, founded by Hubert Bebe, a celebrated Rwandan footballer famous for his powerful strikes with teams such as Rayon Sports, Kiyovu Sports, and the national football team Rwanda's "Amavubi," is taking bold strides in youth sports development.
According to Nshizirungu, the academy has existed since 2015, but Bebe is now implementing groundbreaking measures to elevate football training standards for Rwandan children and open doors to international competitions.
Bebe shared: “I believe many Rwandans are already familiar with Better Future Football Academy. It is an initiative I began in 2015, which faced temporary setbacks due to challenges with training grounds. However, I am back now, committed to moving forward.”
Now, Better Future Football Academy is expanding globally through new partnerships in France, a move that will see four children travel annually to France for advanced football training under expert supervision.
Bebe explained: “Previously, I took time to search for avenues where our children could receive professional football training. I found a highly credible institution in Marseille, France, that agreed to host four children yearly."
“Starting next year, in June, these children will travel to France to undergo their training. The idea is for them to gain knowledge and skills that would eventually empower Rwanda’s national team, the ‘Amavubi,’ and bring long-term benefits to local football programs."
Beyond sending young Rwandan talents abroad, the academy will also host French coaches who will visit Better Future Football Academy to provide expert coaching for students right here in Rwanda.
Bebe noted: “This partnership isn’t limited to sending children overseas. We’ll also welcome highly skilled coaches from France to lead foundational training programs at the academy."
Exciting international opportunities at Better Future Football Academy signal a new era for youth football development in Rwanda, offering young talents access to specialized coaching and global exposure.
The academy's efforts focus on creating significant opportunities for youth football in Rwanda and enabling children to achieve their full potential on international platforms.
This revolutionary initiative spearheaded by Hubert Bebe could redefine football in Rwanda, nurturing top-tier players and fostering meaningful international collaborations.
