Papi Clever and Dorcas have officially announced their much-awaited Gospel Tour across the United States, branded the "Papi Clever & Dorcas USA Tour." These inspiring gospel performances, hosted by The Power of Hope, are set to begin in Dallas ForthWorth on September 20, 2025, followed by Austin on September 21, 2025, and concluding in Arizona Phoenix on October 5, 2025.
This dynamic gospel duo has also been invited to perform at other notable events due to their immense popularity among gospel music enthusiasts. Key highlights include a performance in Washington, Seattle on September 27, 2025, organized by Angaza Africa, and another in Indianapolis on October 19, 2025, hosted by Life Way Ind FMC.
Their prominence in the USA has led to heartfelt invitations by notable organizations and individuals. The Power of Hope, led by Emmanuel Hakizimana and Emmanuel Semuhiga, extended invitations for their three major concerts. The organizing group is renowned for hosting pivotal gospel events, including Meddy and Adrien Misigaro’s concert in Maine in September 2024, the James and Daniella showcase earlier this year, and Alexis Nkomezi’s October 2024 performance.
Hakizimana conveyed their mission passionately, stating, "Our vision is to host more uplifting gospel events across Maine and various U.S. states, spreading the message of Jesus Christ." In an interview with InyaRwanda, Hakizimana shared that Papi Clever and Dorcas were selected for their widespread appeal and soul-stirring hymn-based music.
He explained, "Their songs transcend generations, resonating deeply with both younger and older audiences. Fans in America were yearning for their presence, and we fulfilled that demand." Hakizimana affirmed that the concerts will offer spiritual renewal, promising, "Expect unforgettable worship experiences, rejuvenated hearts, and unparalleled joy from their exceptional performances."
During the Dallas ForthWorth stop, Papi Clever and Dorcas will perform alongside well-known gospel artists such as Nkomezi Alexis from Gisubizo Ministries, who excels in both solo and group music; Deborah from True Promises (Diane Nyirashimwe); and Eric from Gisubizo Ministries. Hakizimana, dedicated to promoting gospel music, elaborated, "In Austin, we’ll have Nkomezi Alexis again, supported by Gisubizo Ministries and their large local choir. Together, we’ll deliver a transformative experience."
Papi Clever and Dorcas previously graced the United States with their music during their debut tour in 2024, performing in Massachusetts, Boston, in September. They also visited churches across states like Oregon, Michigan, and Ohio, connecting with Kenyan, Rwandan, and Congolese communities.
Reflecting on their first U.S. tour, Papi Clever shared, "We were profoundly moved by the hospitality and admiration for our work. It was truly special." He added, "Our music has become a daily part of their lives, and it’s a blessing to see people embrace salvation through it. We give glory to God for those moments."
Tuyizere Pierre Claver, known as Papi Clever, collaborates with his wife, Ingabire Dorcas, under their celebrated duo name, Papi Clever & Dorcas. Both enjoy widespread acclaim in Rwanda and abroad. Married since 2019, they have been performing together as a powerful musical team focused on spreading the gospel.
Papi Clever’s musical journey began in 2014 after studying at Kigali Music School, where he contributed to choirs such as Hyssop Choir and Ntora Worship Team. Dorcas has performed in Choirs like Goshen Choir (ADEPR Muhoza in Musanze) and is an active participant in Hoziyana Choir (ADEPR Nyarugenge).
Known for their distinct approach to hymns and original compositions, Papi Clever and Dorcas have become iconic in gospel circles. Their impressive work is reflected in their packed performance schedule and the enthusiastic response to their music.
After recently concluding an evangelism tour in the U.S., the duo also held successful concerts in Europe. Their Swahili hit, "Ameniweka Huru Kweli," adapted from the hymnal "Nyimbo za wokovu" (song number 40), has garnered over 52 million views on YouTube, cementing their popularity in East Africa.
