The annual "7 Days of Worship," hosted by Women Foundation Ministries, is a highly anticipated seven-day event dedicated to profound worship and spiritual growth. This inspirational gathering attracts distinguished worship leaders from Rwanda and around the world.
The 2025 edition, held in Kigali, spotlighted global religious influencers, including Bishop Benjamin Dube from South Africa, Rev. Julian Kyula from Kenya, and Nduwimana David from Australia, reflecting the event's international appeal.
On June 12, 2025, during the "Ministers' Breakfast" program held at Ubumwe Grande Hotel, Apostle Mignonne Kabera opened the fourth day of worship with a heartfelt address. She reflected on Rwanda’s journey of resilience 31 years after the genocide and celebrated the increasing number of worshippers across the country.
She voiced gratitude, stating, “I thank God that today in Rwanda, within the body of Christ, we have many worshippers,”—a sentiment she shared while acknowledging Bishop Benjamin Dube's impactful presence. “Thank you for agreeing to be one of those sowing seeds in this country,” Apostle Kabera remarked.
Bishop Benjamin Dube echoed those sentiments. Upon taking the stage, he expressed appreciation for the invitation and presented Apostle Kabera with two of his authored books, showcasing key life insights and his spiritual journey.
Challenging common views on worship, Bishop Dube emphasized, “Worship isn’t just singing; it’s a lifestyle. Everyone—not just Christians—should embrace it as a core part of their existence. Everything that breathes should honor its Creator.”
He further elaborated, “I want church workers to shift their mindset—from being singers and artists to truly embodying servitude. There’s no place for stars or superstars in genuine worship. God seeks humility, not ego—we must become servants of faith.”
The Bishop also shed light on the traps of self-promotion in faith, summarizing, “True worship rests on humility. At times, people elevate and cheer for you, but this can change overnight. I’ve lived through such highs and lows.” He recounted a life-changing moment when God reminded him to prioritize servitude over pride: “A worshipper’s life should be on their knees, saying, ‘Let Your will be done, God—not mine.’”
Bishop Dube further anchored his teachings with scriptural references, guiding attendees on how to worship authentically and avoid unknowingly glorifying themselves.
These powerful teachings resonated with prominent worshippers at the event, including Aimee Uwimana, Gaby Kamanzi, Prosper Nkomezi, Rene, Tracy, Yvan Ngenzi, among others.
Apostle Kabera also addressed misconceptions about worship, underscoring its broader essence: “True worship isn’t limited to singing or dancing. It’s about one’s daily lifestyle. Each moment should glorify God in actions and intentions.”
She shared the event’s impactful approach: “We invite singers to lead worship through music and other servants of God to explain what authentic worship means. Discussions held during the program deepen participants’ understanding of its true significance.”
