New Faces, New Goals: APR FC Kicks Off Pre-Season Training Ahead of CAF Battles

APR FC begins pre-season training in Shyorongi, welcoming new signings under Coach Abderrahim Taleb, as they prepare for CAF tournaments.

The APR FC football team, representing Rwanda's military forces, officially began their pre-season training on Wednesday at their usual venue in Shyorongi. This initial session included the full squad along with newly signed talents acquired this summer: Iraguha Hadji, Bugingo Hakim, Fitina Omborenga, Ngabonziza Pacifique, and Hakizimana Adolphe.

Absent from the session were Ugandan Ronald Ssekiganda and Burkinabe Memel Raouf Dao, two high-profile signings for the team this season. Leading the training was APR FC's newly appointed head coach, Abderrahim Taleb, alongside his assistants, showcasing a fresh era for the club's preparations.

The team resumed training hot on the heels of their historic rivals, Rayon Sports, who kicked off their preparations a day earlier on Tuesday. These two clubs are set to represent Rwanda in prestigious African football tournaments: APR FC will compete in the CAF Champions League, while Rayon Sports will aim for glory in the CAF Confederation Cup.
