The APR FC football team, representing Rwanda's military forces, officially began their pre-season training on Wednesday at their usual venue in Shyorongi. This initial session included the full squad along with newly signed talents acquired this summer: Iraguha Hadji, Bugingo Hakim, Fitina Omborenga, Ngabonziza Pacifique, and Hakizimana Adolphe.
Absent from the session were Ugandan Ronald Ssekiganda and Burkinabe Memel Raouf Dao, two high-profile signings for the team this season. Leading the training was APR FC's newly appointed head coach, Abderrahim Taleb, alongside his assistants, showcasing a fresh era for the club's preparations.
The team resumed training hot on the heels of their historic rivals, Rayon Sports, who kicked off their preparations a day earlier on Tuesday. These two clubs are set to represent Rwanda in prestigious African football tournaments: APR FC will compete in the CAF Champions League, while Rayon Sports will aim for glory in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Hakizimana Adolphe, one of the new recruits, was seen actively participating in the training session.
Led by Captain Niyomugabo Claude, continuing players demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment as they engaged in the intense training session.
Iradukunda Pacifique made his debut appearance during the team’s training, blending seamlessly with the squad.
