The electrifying MTN Iwacu Muzika Festival, originally planned for August 9, 2025, in Rusizi, found a new home in Muhanga due to ongoing venue renovations. Fans poured into Muhanga Stadium for a night of musical thrills.
Muhanga locals, though informed of the venue change late, were not deterred. By midday, the stadium buzzed with energy as attendees eagerly arrived, setting the stage for a phenomenal evening.
The star-studded lineup included Nel Ngabo, who captivated the audience as the opening act, followed by a fiery performance from Kivumbi King. Juno Kizigenza and Ariel Wayz also delivered unforgettable sets, while King James closed the night on a high note. Every artist received resounding cheers, showcasing the love and admiration from the crowd.
Several artists expressed their intention to perform in Rusizi in the future despite this year’s relocation. King James revealed his longstanding desire to organize concerts in Rusizi, although challenges over his 20-year music career made it difficult to achieve.
