Mr Kagame Completes Two Albums with Top African Artists & Announces Release Plans

Mr Kagame finishes two albums featuring African stars like Bruce Melodie and Sauti Sol. His first single “Inamana” drops September 12, 2025!

In an exclusive interview with InyaRwanda, Mr Kagame revealed that his recent musical journey has been transformative, resulting in the completion of two major albums.

He shared, “I’ve finalized two albums; now it’s a matter of deciding with ‘Black Market Records’ which one will release first. One of the albums already has video production ready. Fans were waiting eagerly, but I was focused on broadening my music reach—remaining a ‘local’ artist within Rwanda felt restrictive."

The artist is set to return to Kigali on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Once in Rwanda, he will continue preparations for these highly anticipated album releases.

Mr Kagame revealed, “Both albums include collaborations with iconic artists from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Nigeria.” Although he did not disclose all names, he promised a detailed lineup in the upcoming album trailer and official release announcements.

One album was produced in Kenya, while the second was created in Uganda, where Mr Kagame also filmed music videos for select songs and gave interviews to top media outlets such as UBS and NBS.

Promoting talent: During his time in Kenya, Mr Kagame collaborated with renowned Producer MokVybz and Bien-Aime Baraza of the acclaimed band Sauti Sol. MokVybz, previously credited with major hits for artists like Mbuzi and Watendawili, also directed the visuals for Mr Kagame’s music videos.

He stated, “Leaving Rwanda for this collaboration was a strategic decision. Since ‘Black Market Records’ caters to artists who lack proper studio facilities in Rwanda, I had to work with them in-person. We also discussed plans to bring their team to Rwanda to assist emerging artists—an initiative I am passionate about because Rwanda has so much untapped talent.”

Mr Kagame emphasized, “Rwandan music is steadily gaining popularity in Kenya, and Kenyan artists are more open to collaborating with their Rwandan counterparts.”

The artist credited his hit single “Ntiza,” produced with Bruce Melodie, for opening doors in Kenya. “Bruce Melodie is among Kenya’s most celebrated artists, alongside The Ben. Meddy is hailed as a king, and Producer Element’s reputation is significant in the region,” said Mr Kagame.

As he gears up to release new music, Mr Kagame is preparing his newest single “Inamana,” scheduled to premiere on September 12, 2025. Mr Kagame sharing details of his upcoming single, Inamana
