A Vision Anchored on Three Key Pillars: Accessibility, Innovation, and Sustainability
At the core of Monzer’s vision for MTN Rwanda are three foundational pillars: making technology accessible to all, spearheading innovation, and promoting environmental sustainability for lasting impact.
Monzer aims to bridge the technology gap for all Rwandans, irrespective of location or socioeconomic status. This initiative involves accelerating the adoption of affordable smartphones, expanding mobile financial services (Mobile Money), and overcoming barriers that hinder digital inclusion.
Through active collaboration with Chantal Kagame, CEO of Mobile Money Rwanda Ltd (MMRL), Monzer plans to revolutionize financial services by bolstering their security, accessibility, and effectiveness. This will empower communities and uplift daily economic activities across Rwanda.
Expanding 4G+ Nationwide and Laying the Groundwork for 5G
A cornerstone of Monzer’s leadership includes expanding 4G+ broadband across Rwanda to ensure every citizen has access to fast, reliable internet. MTN Rwanda is also preparing to roll out 5G technology, which promises to transform industries like education, healthcare, commerce, and technology-driven entrepreneurship, especially among the youth.
Commitment to Sustainable Development and Environmental Preservation
Monzer highlighted the importance of progress without compromising environmental integrity. MTN Rwanda is committed to sustainability goals, such as adopting electric vehicles, reducing dependencies on fossil fuels, and reforesting to lower carbon emissions. These actions aim to preserve Rwanda’s natural heritage and mitigate climate change.
Enhanced Customer-Centric Services
Monzer unveiled ambitious plans to refine customer service delivery at MTN Rwanda. Key initiatives include developing user-friendly self-service portals, improving the quality of in-branch services, and optimizing the customer experience on MTN digital platforms. These efforts aim to eliminate service challenges and ensure that clients remain central to every organizational strategy.
