Tamara Irakoze, a talented gospel musician studying in the U.S., celebrates her engagement to Shy. Miss Belgium 2024 also cheered her romantic milestone.

On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Rwandan gospel artist Tamara Irakoze revealed her engagement to Shy, her partner residing in the United States. The joyous announcement drew congratulations from fans and loved ones alike, including Miss Belgium 2024, Kenza Amaloot, who expressed her delight with cheerful emojis on Instagram. Kenza, who was crowned Miss Belgium after outperforming 32 contestants, shares a connection with Tamara through their Rwandan heritage.

Tamara Irakoze Chelsea, currently pursuing university studies in the U.S., shared heartfelt photos on social media, radiating happiness over her engagement. The couple, together for a significant time, is looking forward to their future and wedding plans.

Expressing her emotions, Tamara said: “The girl who dreamed of love said ‘YES’ to the answer to her prayers. This is where I feel safe, where I find joy, my significant person. I’m eager to see what God has planned for us. I love you.”

Tamara Irakoze Chelsea is the eldest daughter of Reverend Alain Numa, a prominent figure associated with MTN Rwanda and the leader of ‘Eglise Messianique pour la guerison des ames au Rwanda.’ Rev. Numa shared his joy and blessings for his daughter's new chapter, writing on Instagram: “I wish you happiness in this new love journey you’ve embarked on. May God bless your new relationship. We support your decision, and you’ll always carry our blessings. We love you both dearly.”

Known for his steadfast support, Rev Alain Numa introduced Tamara to gospel ministry in 2015 at an event in Nyabugogo's Shiloh Prayer Mountain Church. At the time, Tamara was a high school senior at Excella School. They performed a gospel song titled *Sinzibagirwa aho wankuye* (“I Will Never Forget Where You Raised Me From”) by Luc Buntu. During the event, Rev Numa shared that his daughter had a divine calling as a gospel artist, complementing his own gifts for worship and preaching.

Since then, Tamara has written multiple gospel songs, seamlessly balancing her passion for music with academic commitments. Her journey took her to the U.S. for higher education, but her devotion to gospel music remains unwavering. She actively participates in worship concerts alongside renowned artists such as Patient Bizimana, often accompanied by her father.
