Meddy Breaks Silence With a New Album Rooted in Faith

As various artists continue to prepare ambitious projects aimed at expanding their musical horizons, one of Rwanda’s most celebrated singers in worship and inspirational music, Ngabo Medard Jobert—popularly known as Meddy—is also stepping into a new chapter of his musical journey.

Having built a reputation through soul-touching songs, whether romantic ballads or Gospel hits, Meddy has embraced a renewed direction anchored in exalting God and expressing his personal walk of faith.

Reliable sources reveal to InyaRwanda that Meddy is currently in the final stages of completing a brand-new album centered almost entirely on spiritually inspired songs meant to remind the world of the importance of honoring God.

The album is being crafted using modern production standards, with each track handled by different producers to ensure a fresh, refined, and high-quality sound.

Trusted information indicates that this will be the first major project he releases before confirming the dates for a series of concerts he plans to hold in different countries, including Rwanda.

People close to the singer say “the outcome of this album will mark the beginning of a new chapter in Meddy’s music career,” potentially ushering in special live performances, especially in Rwanda.

Recently, Meddy posted on his social media platforms that he would be arriving in Kigali “very soon.” The statement stirred excitement and curiosity online and in the Rwandan media, with many wondering whether the U.S.-based artist was preparing to return home.

When asked by a fan about his return date, Meddy responded in a way that hinted he was finalizing certain work-related commitments before stepping foot in Kigali.

The message sparked hope among his supporters, especially fans of his well-known songs such as Holy Spirit, Adi Top, Slowly, and Blessed, suggesting that Meddy might be preparing to reconnect with his audience in a bigger way.

Sources further indicate that Meddy is not planning to jump into concerts immediately; instead, he intends to first launch the new album, which will guide his decision on when and how to return to the stage—particularly after years of not performing in his home country.

Following the release of his latest song “Blessed,” which received a warm welcome from Gospel listeners and worship music fans, Meddy has clearly entered a season of expressing his spiritual depth and renewed lifestyle.

This song—together with others being prepared for the upcoming album—has been described as part of a broader mission in his musical journey: a mission focused on healing, encouraging, and drawing people closer to God.
