After Manishimwe Djabel's contract with Naft Al Wasat in Iraq ended last season, speculation arose about him joining clubs like APR FC, Azam FC, and Police FC. Despite the rumors, he initially began the new football season without signing with a team.
Police FC has now made headlines by officially announcing Djabel as their latest addition through social media. The dynamic midfielder reunites with coach Ben Moussa, with whom he achieved league glory while at APR FC.
With Police FC currently leading the league standings with 9 points, the addition of Djabel is expected to further solidify their dominance in the championship race.
A celebrated midfielder, Manishimwe Djabel has gained recognition for his exceptional ability to assist strikers in creating scoring opportunities. His rise to fame began in 2014 when he joined Rayon Sports from Isonga FC.
During his time at Rayon Sports, he contributed to numerous victories, including the 2016 Peace Cup, the 2016/17 and 2018/19 league titles, and the 2017 Rwanda Super Cup. Djabel also shone in Rayon Sports' remarkable journey to the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
In the 2018/19 season, Djabel transferred to APR FC, amidst unfounded rumors of being sold to Kenya’s Gor Mahia. These claims were later debunked.
In 2023, Djabel's career took another turn as he was loaned by APR FC to Mukura VS. After a limited number of matches, he moved to Algeria’s USM Khenchela, followed by brief stints at Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Naft Al Wasat in Iraq, before landing back in Rwanda with Police FC.
Manishimwe Djabel has officially joined Police FC, bringing extensive experience to the squad.
