The trio has been confirmed to perform at “Journée Sportive,” a sports and entertainment event scheduled to take place in Belgium on May 23, 2026.
The event aims to bring together Rwandans living across Europe through sports and entertainment, with a special focus on promoting young football talent.
Speaking to InyaRwanda, Lionel Sentore expressed his excitement about being part of the event and highlighted its purpose. He said: “It is a football event taking place here in Belgium, bringing together Rwandans living in Europe."
"It will feature young active players as well as former footballers who once played at a high level. After the matches, I will perform together with Mihigo Chouchou and DJ Saido.”
The event will feature several teams representing different countries where Rwandan diaspora communities live.
Rwanda will be represented by Karibu FC, while Belgium will field Intare FC, Inkuba FC, and Etincelles Diaspora FC.
From the United Kingdom, Umuganda FC will participate, while Rwanda FC will represent the Netherlands.
France will be represented by AFC Lyon FC and D.R Paris FC, Norway by Abarashi FC, Switzerland by Diaspora Suisse FC, and Germany by Diaspora Allemagne FC.
Organizers say the event is designed to combine sports and entertainment while strengthening unity among Rwandans living in different European countries.
