In an exclusive interview with InyaRwanda, Kivumbi King shared that writing for the song Bruce Melodie collaborated on with Diamond Platnumz was a pivotal blessing in his career. He stressed that he acknowledges the importance of this milestone and opportunity.
He revealed, "Bruce Melodie respects me like a younger brother—a gesture I see as instrumental in advancing my journey in music. This is truly a blessing, especially when someone of his stature takes the time to acknowledge and engage with me. The song itself is something we’ll discuss more after its release."
Behind the 'Pom Pom' Project
"Pom Pom" is a groundbreaking collaboration produced in Rwanda and Tanzania over four days, costing over $50,000. The massive production budget reflects the song's ambition to resonate deeply within the African music landscape.
Sources at InyaRwanda confirm that Diamond Platnumz earned $50,000 [66,500,000 RWF] for his contribution to this big-ticket project. Its visuals were masterfully directed by Sasha Vybz of Savy Films, a renowned music video director in Africa.
The music video features extraordinary elements such as 40 professional dancers, 10 stunning models (vixens), state-of-the-art pyrotechnics, and six luxury cars. These all combine to present "Pom Pom" as a high-budget, high-impact production eagerly awaited by music fans across Africa.
Sasha Vybz recently told Big Eye Media that "Pom Pom" will be released in the coming weeks. The creative team behind this project promises breathtaking visuals that will further position Africa on the global stage for music excellence.

Sasha Vybz, celebrated for his impeccable music video direction in East Africa, studied filmmaking in South Africa where he shared classes with Nigeria’s renowned Clarence Peters. His expertise shines through in every frame of "Pom Pom."
