Kid from Kigali, Inki and Yannick Kamanzi Unite in Song Celebrating PSG–Visit Rwanda Partnership

Rwandan rapper Kid from Kigali has teamed up with artists Yannick Kamanzi and Inki, the son of renowned musician Muyango Jean Marie, on a song accompanying a promotional video highlighting the partnership between French football giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Rwanda’s tourism brand Visit Rwanda.

The video was shared on PSG’s official Instagram account on Sunday, January 18, 2026, and showcases the artists alongside PSG players, blending football, music and Rwandan culture in a vibrant visual narrative.

The footage features traditional Intore dancers, drums, football scenes, and cultural symbolism. Kid from Kigali is seen playing traditional drums, while Inki appears kicking a football alongside PSG players. Some of the players are also shown learning Rwandan dance moves and drumming, reflecting cultural exchange.

In the song, Kid from Kigali sings: “The drums beat in our hearts, tomorrow they will hear it. The energy we put in is immense.”

Posting the video, PSG wrote on Instagram: “Where football meets culture. From Kigali to Paris, creativity, rhythm and passion come together. A powerful exchange that brings Rwandan talent and PSG players onto the global stage.”

On April 17, 2025, the Government of Rwanda and PSG signed a new Visit Rwanda partnership agreement running until 2028. The deal was announced by the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) in collaboration with PSG management.

In a statement, RDB Chief Executive Officer Jean Guy Africa said the partnership has “played a major role in positioning Rwanda as a leading destination for tourism and investment, as well as a hub for talent, sports and cultural innovation.”

PSG Chief Executive Officer Victoriano Melero emphasized that the partnership goes beyond commercial interests, stating:
“Together, we are demonstrating how football can inspire, empower and connect people across the world.”

The collaboration has also supported youth development. In 2021, PSG Academy Rwanda was launched and has since enrolled more than 400 young players. In 2022, the academy’s Under-13 team won the PSG World Cup, competing against PSG academies from around the globe.

Under the renewed agreement, the Visit Rwanda logo appears on training kits worn by PSG academy players in the United States, as well as on footballs used by PSG’s first team during the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to take place in the U.S. in June this year.

The partnership highlights Rwanda’s commitment to promoting tourism, investing in youth, and elevating local talent to the international stage through sport and culture.
