Kevin Muhire, the standout 26-year-old midfielder, has officially joined Jamus SC after an exceptional 2024/2025 season with Rayon Sports. During his time in Rwanda’s Premier League, Muhire made a significant impact, guiding his team to claim second spot and delivering impressive performances in the Peace Cup tournament.
In an exclusive interview with Times Sport, Muhire confidently shared his excitement and determination for the new chapter in his career: “I am prepared to play at every opportunity and help my team achieve top-tier success on the international stage. My physical condition is great, and I’m ready to embrace these new responsibilities. I am working to connect with my teammates and staff, and once that is set, it will be easier to align with the team’s plans.”
His transfer to Jamus SC brings high hopes for the club, especially in midfield. Jamus SC, the reigning South Sudan Premier League champions, aims to amplify their prowess as they prepare for competitive African tournaments. Muhire’s arrival is anticipated to be a catalyst for their desired success in the upcoming season.

Muhire boasts a rich football legacy, having competed at top levels in various regions, including Africa and the Middle East. His professional journey includes notable stints with clubs like Misr Lel Makkasa (Egypt), Saham Club (Oman), and Al-Yarmouk SC (Kuwait).
Kickstarting his career at Isonga FC, Muhire played a pivotal role in promoting the team to Rwanda’s top-flight league. In 2015, he joined Rayon Sports, where his contribution earned them a league championship title. The midfielder later transitioned to Egypt in 2019, playing for Misr Lel Makkasa and further building his reputation through loan appearances with El Dakhleya and Tala’ea El Gaish.
His global journey continued as he signed with Oman’s Saham Club in 2020, returned to Rayon Sports in 2021, and later joined Kuwait’s Al-Yarmouk SC in 2022. Muhire then rejoined Rayon Sports for a second stint in 2023, where he showcased stellar performances, earned the Player of the Year award (2023/24), and captained the team.
On the international stage, Muhire has proudly represented Rwanda across all levels, including U-17, U-20, U-23, and now the senior national team, Amavubi.
