Jaja Rwanda made his debut in the Rwandan music scene in 2019 with guidance from acclaimed artist Khalfan. Their collaboration resulted in the hit song "Rimwe," followed by the track "No Mercy," which featured renowned artists Bull Dogg, Fireman, and Khalfan. Jaja also teamed up with Ish Kevin on "Drill Move," demonstrating his versatility and growth as an artist.
In 2022, he launched his first EP titled "Nitwewumva," a compilation of five tracks that included collaborations with prominent Rwandan Hip Hop stars. Building on his success, last year he released fan-favorite singles like "Like Me," in collaboration with Logan Joe, further cementing his position in Rwanda's Hip Hop scene.
Expanding his horizons, Jaja introduced another EP named “Street of G Kampo,” featuring four tracks, two of which were joint efforts with American musicians—a milestone that reflects his international aspirations.
Now in 2023, Jaja Rwanda has dropped an electrifying new single titled "Ibigwi," featuring Hollix, a celebrated name in Rwanda's Hip Hop culture. The song dives into their everyday experiences, achievements, and ambitious goals, resonating with listeners and fans alike.
Speaking exclusively to InyaRwanda, Jaja revealed why he chose Hollix for this collaboration, emphasizing his admiration for Hollix's unique talent and determination:
He remarked: “I decided to work with Hollix because I’ve been watching his journey closely, and he truly deserves recognition. As a passionate Hip Hop artist, I thought teaming up would allow us both to push boundaries and reach greater heights.”
Jaja expressed his delight over the positive reception of "Ibigwi," saying: “Since this song was released, I’ve seen amazing results—my fan base is growing steadily across all my platforms.”
He commended Hollix for his distinctiveness, noting: “Hollix has a unique style that sets him apart from other Rwandan rappers.”
In a message to his fans, Jaja gave an exciting update on his upcoming projects. He is in the middle of creating new music and planning to release another EP, which could drop as early as December.
