The couple, who have built a strong reputation in Rwanda's gospel music scene, say the song is meant to strengthen the faith of believers while offering hope to those who have not yet come to know Christ.
Speaking to InyaRwanda, Jado Sinza and Esther explained that the song is rooted in the biblical truth that anyone who accepts Jesus Christ becomes a new creation, leaving behind the old life and embracing a new life filled with God's grace and hope.
"This song speaks about the power of salvation found in Jesus Christ. It is built on the biblical truth that whoever accepts Christ becomes a new creation. The old life passes away, and a new life filled with hope and God's grace begins," they said.
The worship ministers added that the central message of the song is that the blood of Jesus cleanses sin and completely transforms a person's life.
"That is why the lyrics say: 'I am a new creation in Christ. The old has passed away; behold, everything has become new. Jesus has saved me completely.'"
They further explained that the song is intended to encourage believers and bring hope to those who have not yet encountered Christ, reminding listeners that there is no life so broken that God cannot restore it. It is a message of love, mercy, and salvation that assures everyone there is a new beginning in Christ.
Their Love Has Become the Foundation of Their Ministry
Jado Sinza and Esther Umulisa have shared a love story spanning many years. They began dating in 2017, and after a journey marked by patience and mutual support, they were united in marriage before both the law and God in 2024.
Beyond music, the couple is also involved in business through Sinza Coffee Shop. They first met and got to know each other while serving in New Melody Choir, one of Rwanda's well-known gospel choirs.
Since getting married, they have continued serving God together, releasing songs that have inspired many, including "Ni Nziza," "Aragukunda," "Imbabazi," "Forever," and now "Yankijije Burundu."
Their latest song, "Yankijije Burundu," is now available on all major digital streaming platforms, while its official music video has been released on the Jado Sinza & Esther YouTube Channel, where fans can watch and listen to it.
