It’s Official: Chryso Ndasingwa to Marry Longtime Love Sharon Gatete

Gospel star Chryso Ndasingwa, known for hits like “Wahozeho,” is set to marry fellow artist Sharon Gatete in June 2025 after keeping their love private.

Chryso Ndasingwa, a celebrated name in Rwanda’s gospel music scene, is widely recognized for his hit song “Wahozeho,” which has attracted over 3 million views on YouTube. He has also blessed listeners with uplifting tracks like “Wahinduye Ibihe,” “Ni Nziza,” and “Nzakomeza Nkwiringire.” Now, the acclaimed artist from Nyamirambo is preparing to take another monumental step—getting married and officially leaving bachelorhood behind.

Chryso confirmed to InyaRwanda that his wedding is set to take place in 2025. His fiancée, Sharon Gatete, is not only his partner but also a fellow musician. The couple, who has kept their relationship discreet, has now publicly revealed their plans for matrimony. This marks the first disclosure of their romance and upcoming nuptials to the media.

According to sources, Chryso made a significant move on June 21, 2025, towards his wedding as he symbolically began his preparations. The gospel artist shared a heartfelt yet cryptic message on Instagram, expressing his immense gratitude but struggling to find words to describe his joy. Accompanying his post was a photo of Chryso with Sharon and friends, seemingly returning from a celebratory event. Miss Supranational 2021 winner Umuratwa Anitha Kate teased Chryso in the comments, saying, “Has he been handed over to us or not?”

The excitement surrounding his wedding grew when, on Sunday, June 22, 2025, video clips surfaced showing Sharon Gatete among her relatives and friends—from Rwanda and abroad—in jubilant celebrations. The video repeatedly featured the phrase, "We have a wedding," solidifying rumors of the couple’s special day.

Chryso and Sharon share a deep bond and shared passion for gospel music, having already collaborated on two impactful songs: “Yanyishyuriye” and “Wera Wera Wera.” Their mutual love for music suggests a bright future as a musical power duo after their marriage.

In an earlier interview, Chryso praised Sharon’s qualities, calling her a devout Christian with incredible talent and a great voice. He emphasized how their shared mission to spread God’s word through music brought them closer together.

“Sharon is an excellent worship artist with a beautiful voice and a strong love for God. We realized we are aligned in our goals—promoting God’s message through music. Her music is filled with hope and inspiration, and she remains committed to serving God,” Chryso shared.

Chryso Ndasingwa has repeatedly set the bar high in gospel music. He made history as one of the few Rwandan gospel artists to pack BK Arena with fans from all regions—a feat that many artists have attempted without success. This milestone happened during his "Wahozeho Album Launch" concert on May 5, 2024, celebrating his debut album, “Wahozeho.” He continued his streak with the "Easter Experience" concert on April 20, 2025, hosted at Intare Conference Arena.

Born in Nyamirambo to a Catholic family, Chryso later joined New Life Bible Church, where he continues to worship and pursue his music career. His professional journey began during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sharon Gatete, Chryso’s bride-to-be, is renowned for her incredible voice and artistry. She studied music at Nyundo School and is currently pursuing advanced music studies at a university in Kenya. Her hit single “Inkuru Nziza” has amassed over 460,000 views on YouTube. Sharon’s ambitions include earning a PhD to further elevate her music journey.
