Inspiring Wedding of Vestine and Idrissa: God-Centered Vows and Pastor Jackson Mugisha's Message

Vestine and Idriss tied the knot at Intare Conference Arena surrounded by loved ones. Pastor Jackson Mugisha inspired attendees with teachings on building a God-centered, wisdom-filled marriage.

Vestine and Idrissa celebrated their union in a touching wedding ceremony filled with prayers, fellowship, and inspiring messages from Pastor Jackson Mugisha. The pastor shared biblical teachings to guide the couple as they build a foundation of faith and wisdom for their marriage.

“A Marriage Doesn’t Hide You; It Reveals You” – Pastor Jackson Mugisha

Pastor Jackson Mugisha, from Spirit Revival Temple, based his message on Genesis 2:24: “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” He emphasized that a home rooted in God stands strong and has lasting direction.

He explained: “For a marriage to be strong and purposeful, God must be its foundation. Without Him, a marriage lacks direction. Marriage doesn’t hide who you are; it unveils it.”

Highlighting challenges in modern marriages, Pastor Jackson noted that many break down due to insufficient knowledge about God and a lack of understanding and wisdom between spouses.

God’s Word Anchored Vestine and Idrissa’s Wedding

The couple attended five pre-marital teaching sessions with Pastor Jackson, focusing on the roles of husbands and wives, conflict resolution, and the spiritual significance of marriage. He shared thoughts from Proverbs 24:3: "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established," pointing to the importance of wisdom, knowledge, and discernment in creating a strong marriage.

Pastor Jackson shared with attendees: “Wisdom, knowledge, and discernment—these principles are the foundation of a successful marriage. Vestine and Idriss have taken these teachings to heart as they begin their life together.”

He also discouraged unrealistic expectations of marriage, explaining that building a fulfilling union requires consistent effort, learning, and seeking guidance. Pastor Jackson stated: “You don’t dream up a perfect marriage; you work toward it by embracing responsibility and seeking advice from elders.”

“Idrissa is Vestine’s First Pastor”

During the ceremony, Pastor Jackson reminded the couple of their biblical duties: husbands should love their wives, and wives should submit to their husbands. Quoting Ephesians 5:25, he declared: “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.”

Addressing Vestine directly, he said: “Vestine, while I am your pastor, Idrissa is your first pastor, the one you must obey.”

Pastor Jackson warned against imbalances in marriage where wives listen more to pastors than their husbands. He illustrated that every husband has both a lamb and a lion within, and it is up to the wife to nurture the positive traits by how she interacts with him.

“Place Christ at the Center of Your Marriage”

In conclusion, Pastor Jackson urged Vestine and Idriss to make Christ the guiding force in their relationship, stating: “Marriage is God’s design. Don’t remove Christ from your home, thinking it will make your marriage better. Always uphold your responsibility to one another.”

The bride, Vestine, adorned a stunning white gown accompanied by her closest friends, while Idriss donned elegant white attire with black accents. Together, they radiated joy and optimism for their future as a couple.

The ceremony at Intare Conference Arena was attended by family, friends, Gospel artists, church leaders, and supporters of Gospel music—all joining to celebrate the couple’s love and commitment.
