Inganzo Ngari, Rwanda’s premier cultural troupe, is gearing up for a groundbreaking performance titled ‘Tubarusha Inganji,’ slated for August 1, 2025, at Camp Kigali. This eagerly awaited event will commemorate Rwanda’s Umuganura Day, celebrating cultural pride and national victories.
This marks Inganzo Ngari’s eighth grand showcase since its inception in 2006. The performance is set to offer a uniquely enriched experience, acting as a precursor to an even greater celebration in 2026 for the troupe’s 20-year anniversary.
Speaking to InyaRwanda.com, Serge Nahimana, Director of Inganzo Ngari, shared why the theme ‘Tubarusha Inganji’ was chosen. He explained that the show embodies Rwanda’s achievements and its transformational journey under the leadership of the Unity Government.
“The name ‘Tubarusha Inganji’ stems from the victories of our nation. We aim to showcase how Rwanda overcame numerous challenges through the Unity Government’s efforts, yielding incredible success,” he said.
He added, “Furthermore, we aim to highlight the journey of Rwandans, emerging from darkness and building a brighter future centered on vision and progress—today and tomorrow.”
A beacon of Rwanda’s cultural heritage, Inganzo Ngari was founded in 2006 with the mission to promote and preserve Rwanda’s traditions through dance, songs, and iconic costumes.
Celebrated worldwide, the troupe is admired for its intricate talents in youth-led traditional dances and for representing Rwanda’s vibrant culture on international stages.

Additionally, they’ve extended an open invitation to the youth to attend the ‘Tubarusha Inganji’ showcase.
