Indians residing in Rwanda came together for the “Fair India in Rwanda” exhibition, an event aimed at showcasing the richness of Indian culture, their businesses, and their contribution to the country’s development.

The event brought together members of the Indian community, private sector players, government officials, and other attendees interested in learning more about Indian culture and lifestyle.

Held on March 22, 2026, at Camp Kigali, the exhibition featured 15 out of India’s 28 states, each presenting unique aspects of their culture through traditional dances, cuisine, customs, and more.

Among the highlights were traditional clothing, Indian cultural dishes, music, and dance performances—all aimed at showcasing the richness and diversity of Indian heritage while giving visitors an immersive cultural experience.

The Ambassador of India to Rwanda, Mridu Pawan Das, who attended the event, described it as a valuable opportunity to promote Indian culture and strengthen ties between the two countries.

He said: “The goal of this exhibition is to showcase our culture, our activities, and how we collaborate with others to promote relationships and trade.”

He further emphasized that Indians living in Rwanda play a significant role in the country’s development, particularly in business and investment, and that events like this help strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation between the people of both nations.

Attendees had the opportunity to explore various products on display, enjoy traditional Indian cuisine, and experience entertainment through cultural dances and music performances.

The exhibition highlighted how bringing together people from different cultural backgrounds can foster mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and stronger social and economic partnerships between nations.

Ambassador of India to Rwanda, Mridu Pawan Das, said the aim of the exhibition was to showcase the diverse cultures of India to Rwandans
