This Rwandan music star, Bruce Melodie, is a cornerstone of the music group 1:55 AM. He played a key role in introducing Kenny Sol and Element to the group, while Ross Kana was brought in by Element.
Although these artists have now parted ways with 1:55 AM—a collective that significantly boosted their careers—Bruce Melodie assures fans that their bond stays intact.
He shared, “Kenny Sol and Ross are my brothers. In business, sometimes things don’t go as planned, forcing one to choose a different path, but that never erases the respect and brotherhood we share.”
Describing the music industry as one driven by emotions and shared vision, Bruce Melodie expressed optimism about future opportunities for collaboration, even if they are currently pursuing individual projects.
“It might not work out for us to collaborate on one thing now, but we could work together later on something different. Business isn’t always a straight line—it’s full of twists, and they are both incredibly talented brothers,” he explained.
Bruce Melodie clarified that the issues between these artists and 1:55 AM were strictly business-related and didn’t affect their personal relationships or creative partnerships.
He explained, “Think of it like a client reaching out to me directly for a performance when it would usually go through my manager—it’s nothing major.”
Bruce Melodie’s Album Surpasses 40 Million Streams
The singer recently announced that his album “Colorful Generation” has crossed an impressive milestone of more than 40 million streams. While he celebrated this success, he emphasized his ambition to reach over one billion global listeners as he works on expanding his international footprint.
“It’s part of an ongoing journey. What I ask is for you to keep supporting us, share the love, and introduce more people to our music. Music is a reflection of a nation’s progress—when it’s embraced beyond borders, it means we’re breaking global barriers,” he noted.
Bruce Melodie also encouraged potential investors to consider the music industry as a lucrative opportunity, pointing out the untapped potential for growth and returns.
“Music sustains many lives and livelihoods. To those with financial means, I urge you to invest in music—there are countless opportunities for profitability,” he emphasized.
Collaboration with 1:55 AM and Gratitude
In an interview with B&B FM, Bruce Melodie expressed his gratitude for working with the 1:55 AM team. He praised their integrity and passion, singling out Coach Gael (his legal advisor) and Kenny Mugarura (the team leader at 1:55 AM) as being instrumental in his journey.
“There’s so much said out there, but I’m never discouraged. Every success I’ve attained is thanks to teamwork and love. To those who spend time speaking poorly of others, I urge you to stop; there are systems to address such negativity,” he said.
He concluded by sharing his resilience in the face of criticism, asserting that verbal negativity has no power over him. “If words can discourage someone, it only shows that they weren’t truly strong in their pursuit,” he remarked.
Bruce Melodie reiterated his appreciation for the collaborations he had with Ross Kana and Kenny Sol, affirming that their spirit of partnership remains unchanged.
On May 4, 2025, Ross Kana officially announced his departure from 1:55 AM, ending their seven-year partnership.
Shortly after, on June 3, 2025, Kenny Sol also formally confirmed his exit from 1:55 AM.
