On the convention’s second day, Saturday, August 9, 2025, 42,530 participants, including Rwandans and guests from across America, Europe, and Africa, united to celebrate faith and community.
More than 3,000 visitors traveled extensive distances to attend this historic event in Rwanda. Some of these international guests explored the country’s scenic beauty, visiting Kigali, its serene lakes, and captivating hills — an enriching blend of tourism and evangelism.
Migambi François Regis, spokesperson for Jehovah's Witnesses in Rwanda, shared the significance of serving God amid life’s challenges. In his statement ahead of the convention, Regis noted, “In this world full of challenges, serving God in a way He approves is critically important as it provides us with hope for the future. Many people have a strong desire to worship God in an acceptable way and to strengthen their faith. This convention demonstrates how serving God properly impacts our lives and enables us to face the future with confidence.”
The convention accommodated diverse audiences through programs tailored in four languages — Kinyarwanda, English, French, and Rwandan Sign Language — ensuring inclusivity for all attendees, regardless of language preferences.
Over the three days, participants engaged with a dynamic program featuring impactful elements like Bible-based teachings, dramatized films, inspiring testimonials, and uplifting musical performances. The event began on Friday with the viewing of the dramatized film, “The Good News About Jesus” (Part 2), portraying Jesus’ baptism, his selection of disciples, and his triumph over Satan's temptations.
Saturday’s schedule included an enlightening presentation on the fulfillment of prophecy during Jesus' early ministry and a baptism ceremony, which added a monumental spiritual milestone for numerous attendees. Sunday brought the convention’s keynote sermon titled, “Do You Know the One You Worship?”, focusing on the essential role of truth-based faith in building a spiritual connection with God.
International attendees lauded Rwanda’s hospitality during the event. One participant expressed, “Rwandans made us feel at home. This convention has revitalized my dedication to serving God.” A visitor from Brazil who accompanied a 140-member delegation praised Rwanda’s warm reception, stating, “I had heard that Rwanda was a beautiful country, but the welcome I received exceeded my expectations.”
A noteworthy feature of this convention was the warmth extended by local hosts. More than 4,000 residents across Kigali and rural areas opened their homes to international guests, fostering cultural and spiritual bonds. Representation from neighboring Burundi, Brazil, and other far-reaching nations brought greetings symbolizing global unity.
Additionally, the event was made accessible to 341 individuals with hearing or speaking disabilities, who followed the program via Rwandan Sign Language interpretation.
Attendees were inspired by the teachings at the convention, which emphasized worshiping God in truth and spirit, emulating Jesus’ exemplary life, and helping others. As the convention concluded on Sunday evening, participants united in a closing song and prayer—leaving with joy and a lasting sense of accomplishment, having contributed to this groundbreaking event.
