Richard Nick Ngendahayo landed at Kigali International Airport, returning from Dallas, Texas, where he spent many years. Accompanied by his family, the beloved gospel artist shared emotions of joy, peace, and nostalgia with the awaiting media.
“Kigali is its people, true peace is at home”
In an emotional tone filled with gratitude, Ngendahayo began by saying, “First of all, thank you so much for being here. Seeing this amazing support means the world to me. May God bless each of you for showing me love. I recognized so many familiar faces from my past – truly special moments. I’m grateful you waited for me.”
He continued, “Kigali is defined by its wonderful people like you. Coming home is priceless. The peace you feel when you land in Rwanda is indescribable; it fills your soul completely. I feel joyful, nostalgic, and serene back home. You'll see my longing expressed during the concert at BK Arena, and I can’t wait to reconnect with everyone.”
This marked an emotional reunion for a man rediscovering his roots after years abroad, witnessing Rwanda’s inspiring transformation into a hub of unity and development.
Warm Welcome by Rwanda’s Gospel Stars
The emotional arrival was met with renowned gospel stars and long-time friends such as Gaby Kamanzi, Aline Gahongayire, Fanny Wibarara and members from the iconic group The Sisters.
The Sisters, known for pioneering gospel music in Rwanda, embraced Ngendahayo like a brother returning home after years dedicated to ministry and life abroad.
“Rwanda is a Land Flowing with Milk and Honey”
While others marvel at new infrastructure, Ngendahayo emphasized the vibrant "life transformation" he saw among Rwandans.
“I’m more focused on people than material progress," he remarked. "God has blessed this nation abundantly. Achievements like BK Arena and other projects are awe-inspiring—it’s almost surreal. Rwanda is small but rich in spirit. It truly feels like a land flowing with milk and honey.”
His words resonated deeply, leaving an impression of optimism and pride in Rwanda’s peace and growth.
“BK Arena is Small Compared to God’s Works”
Regarding his upcoming concert, "Niwe Healing Concert," set for November 29, 2025, Ngendahayo humbly commented, “BK Arena is small because it isn’t me who fills it—it’s God Himself. God moves and touches the hearts of His people. Each attendee will come prepared spiritually to worship the healing God. Don’t look at the crowd as one individual’s ability—look at God’s power bringing His people together.”
These sentiments reflect Ngendahayo’s commitment to spiritual ministry, transcending mere musical performance.
“I’d Invite President Kagame, I Admire Him Greatly”
When asked about someone he’d invite to his concert, Ngendahayo expressed admiration for Rwandans, specifically the nation’s esteemed leader.
“I’d love for everyone to attend because I cherish them all. I have a deep love for people, but being Rwandan makes it even more special. Many I left behind as children are now leaders—in military, civil service, and beyond. If given the chance, I’d invite President Paul Kagame; I admire him tremendously.”
His response touched attendees, underscoring his patriotism and regard for Rwanda’s leadership, following 17 years abroad.
The “Niwe Healing Concert” preparation is nearing completion, promising to unite gospel enthusiasts and music lovers for an extraordinary spiritual experience at Kigali’s iconic BK Arena.
Ngendahayo sees this concert as a chance to inspire hope, heal spirits, and uplift audiences through heartfelt music.
