Rwandan basketball players proudly represent their nation as part of 320 participants from 20 African countries gathered for the Giants of Africa Basketball Camp. This event is dedicated to empowering youth by enhancing leadership skills and intellectual growth through the transformative power of sports.
The Giants of Africa Basketball Camp includes competitive events in a round-robin format, leading to finals and the All-Star Games, where the best teams and exceptional individual players showcase their talent.

Jonas Singizwa, already recognized for his role in Rwanda's national team during the FIBA U18 AfroBasket 2024, emphasized the significance of the training provided at the camp.
"Meeting these experienced coaches is an incredible opportunity. Some of us have already begun representing the country. For me, it’s a chance to learn and grow," he shared enthusiastically.
Brigitte Nibishaka, another promising player, secured her spot at the camp following her exceptional performance in the Rwanda Basketball League 2024. She ended the season as the top scorer with an impressive tally of 501 points.
"Being here is a blessing. Giants of Africa has brought basketball legends, including former WNBA players. It’s so inspiring and boosts my confidence in reaching such levels," Brigitte said, exuding determination.
The boys' team is coached by Bienvenu Ngandu and Innocent Mugisha, while the girls' team is expertly guided by Joseline Munyaneza and Shaban Rehema.
Countries participating in the Giants of Africa Festival include: Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and host nation Rwanda.
