The remarkable dance performance happened during the Gen-Z Comedy event on Thursday evening, September 11, 2025, at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (Camp Kigali).
Renowned dancer and mentor Titi Brown, who has dedicated his career to the art of movement, recently revealed plans to establish a dance school aimed at nurturing young talent.
This event was a milestone in bringing his vision to life, with his trainees captivating audiences by delivering energetic performances of today’s most popular hits.
In his interview with InyaRwanda, Titi Brown expressed that presenting the children at Gen-Z Comedy marked their live audience debut, heralding a promising journey full of possibilities.
He explained: “These are children I am mentoring, and very soon, they will become widely recognized. They are part of a group called ‘African Mirror,’ and our rehearsal sessions are conducted in Norway.”
The talented group consists of 60 children aged between 5 and 16. Titi Brown shared that his involvement began after Afro Saido, a fellow artist, introduced him to their exceptional abilities.
“I joined this mission to collaborate because I recognized these children’s unique talents and felt the urgency to support them. I took the opportunity to provide them with resources to enhance their skills,” he reflected.
He emphasized that unveiling the group at this event was aimed at displaying their abilities and boosting their confidence for future success in the dance world.
Experts agree that introducing children to dance offers benefits that go beyond entertainment. Dancing is an incredible platform for experiential learning, fostering confidence, teamwork, and social interaction among children.
Additionally, dance as a physical activity strengthens the body, improves overall health, and even prevents lifestyle-related challenges like obesity. It helps kids identify their passions early, setting them on the path to success in the future.
According to Titi Brown, teaching children to dance cultivates a bond with their cultural roots, offers meaningful entertainment, and instills values of discipline that shape their character and life skills.
